WUXI, CHINA, May 13, 2026 – Wuxi CRE New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (CRE), a leading manufacturer of film capacitors for power electronics, was honored to welcome a prominent European distributor alongside their end-user client, a major Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specializing in rail transit and traction applications, for an in-depth factory audit and technical exchange at our production facility in Wuxi.
The high-level delegation was received by Terry Feng (Overseas Sales Director), Mr. Yu (Chief Technology Officer), and our dedicated production line managers. This visit represented a major milestone in a collaborative journey that began in 2022, transitioning from initial design simulations and prototype testing to full-scale mass production.
The visit commenced with a technical seminar focused on the evolving electrical and mechanical demands within the global rail transit sector. For locomotive traction systems, film capacitors must deliver flawless reliability while enduring severe vibrational, electrical, and thermal stresses over a long operational lifespan.
Mr. Yu, CTO of Wuxi CRE, provided a comprehensive presentation on the DKMJ-S Series DC-Link capacitors. He demonstrated how CRE’s proprietary film segmenting and advanced welding designs ensure flawless operation down to -55°C.This extreme-low-temperature resilience guarantees capacity stability and prevents performance drift, effectively addressing the strict safety and reliability standards required by European rail operators.
Immersive Factory Tour: Seeing Manufacturing Excellence in Action.
After the technical briefing, Terry Feng and the engineering team took the clients on a full tour of our dedicated high-capacity capacitor manufacturing facility. The delegation was extremely impressed with the modern workshop environment, from full automation to best-in-class dust-free cleanliness to sophisticated noise isolation structures that create an environment for focused, precision manufacturing.
The inspection began at CRE’s dedicated film metallization production base located at our Jinxing facility in Wuxi. Having internal control over film metallization is a premier supply chain advantage that distinguishes CRE from typical component assemblers. Equipped with three advanced, high-precision metallization machines, this facility boasts a robust monthly production capacity exceeding 120 tons of high-quality metallized film.
Managing this entire upstream process in-house ensures that the core dielectric material meets the stringent electrical tolerances required for heavy-duty applications before it ever reaches the final assembly stage.
Following the initial briefing on our raw material capabilities, the delegation proceeded to the Yangming facility, which serves as the core highlight of the audit, focusing exclusively on the specialized high-capacity production line.
During this brief yet critical segment of the tour, the delegation observed the comprehensive, streamlined manufacturing flow for small-scale capacitors, spanning from precision winding, thermal shaping (heat setting), and metal spraying(coating) to element clearing (activation), intermediate testing, welding, modular assembly, resin potting, laser marking, and final quality inspection.
The on-site process for these heavy-duty traction modules began at the element activation and preparation phase. The clients observed how individual metallized film elements—freshly supplied from our Jinxing facility—undergo specialized electronic conditioning. This critical step maximizes the film's internal self-healing properties and secures optimal dielectric strength before housing.

A key focus of the shop floor visit was the automated soldering station. To ensure high-strength, zero-defect connections capable of withstanding severe operational vibrations in rail traction, CRE implements an integrated optical monitoring system. The equipment automatically captures images of every single weld joint to scan for visual anomalies. Following this automated screening, a mandatory manual double-check is performed by highly trained operators, ensuring total reliability before components proceed to the next assembly stage.

including machine self-inspection and manual verification.
Moving further along the line, the clients inspected the precision insulation and modular assembly areas. They observed how multiple capacitor elements are structurally integrated with rigorous creepage and clearance margins to secure robust high-voltage isolation. This was immediately followed by a review of the strict semi-finished component testing stations, where real-time electrical data, including capacitance, ESR, and high-voltage isolation, are continuously validated to eliminate any early-stage risks.

During the tour, CRE also showcased its versatile rail transit and high-voltage direct current (HVDC) power transmission portfolios.

The factory tour concluded with an overview of the critical encapsulation stages, specifically the advanced vacuum resin infusion and the subsequent ambient temperature curing process. The clients observed how dry-type resins are infused under precise pressure limits to eliminate micro-voids, followed by a controlled stabilization phase that secures the final compound structure.
Since CRE initiated sample verification with this customer in 2022 and commenced commercial production in 2025, over 400 of our specialized traction capacitors have been successfully deployed in European locomotive systems, demonstrating superior field performance.
This site visit significantly enhanced mutual trust. Through an on-site inspection of CRE's rigorous quality control processes and automated large-scale production capabilities, this European distributor and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) has established a long-term strategic partnership with CRE to advance future rail transit projects jointly.
